New furniture!

This weekend, we went to my parents' house so we could get their dining room set and refrigerator.   I was so excited to get it home and redecorate our house! Originally, we had our dining area set up in the back part of our living room. We have another living area off of our living room that we have just used as a sitting room. So, we changed those two rooms around. We made the back part of our living room a little reading "nook" and turned the extra living area into the dining room. I LOVE it! I wish we had thought of that sooner! And, our new furniture looks great in our house. Thanks, mom and dad! Of course, I took a few pictures of it all!

This is the extra living area before the change. And yes..it is a mess :)

Here it is after we rearranged everything. Seriously..I just love it and the Christmas lights just make me happy!

You can see the new furniture a little better in this picture.

Our reading area. I hope I actually get the opportunity to use this space!

Thanksgiving 2012

We had a great Thanksgiving. We were able to go over to visit family on both my mom and my dad's side. We had Thanksgiving lunch with my dad's side of the family. It's always great to be able to see them. The boys had a great time, and Cade helped make the chicken and dumplings. He loved that! I think I will get him in the kitchen to help me cook a little more often! They were the best dumplings I've ever had :)

After being stuffed from lunch, we went to have Thanksgiving dinner with my mom's side of the family. I can't remember the last time I've had that much food in one day. After dinner, Bryan spent some time playing music with my grandma. He really enjoyed it and I know she did, too.

We left Friday morning. We drove 3 1/2 hours back to Harrison, picked up Scoop, dropped Isaac off with his mom and then we were on the road again. We had to drop the boys off with their dad and then made our way to Heavener, which is where my parents live for now. We spent about 7 hours in the car on Friday. It was a very long day. This weekend we are at my parents getting their kitchen table, refrigerator and buffet. I'm so excited to get it home and start rearranging our house! "New" furniture is always fun.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, I'm excited to start celebrating Christmas. We have a few presents bought for the boys. In a couple of weeks we are having a Christmas party with friends. This is my favorite time of year! I just want to slow down and enjoy it this year. I know this is going to be the best Christmas we have had in several years!

Here are a few pictures from our Thanksgiving weekend:

Christmas fun!

I know Thanksgiving hasn't even happened yet, but we have started some Christmas fun, already! I am definitely looking forward to Thanksgiving, though. We are getting to visit my grandparents this year and I am really looking forward to seeing family that I don't get to see very often.

This past Thursday, our town had the lighting of the square. I'll be honest..it was a little lame. BUT, the kids had fun, and that's what matters! We went on a hayride, and they seemed to enjoy that. Here are a few pictures from that night.

I'm not sure where Liam was during these pictures. But, these boys sure to love their daddy!

It's really hard to get a good picture of all the kids.

On the hayride.

The square.

This weekend, we didn't have any of the kids, so we decided to get our Christmas stuff out and start our decorating at home! I just love having Christmas lights up in our house. It just makes it seem so cozy. Cade and Liam were excited to see the tree when they got home today! Before bed, Cade said "I love our house. It's so pretty!" Here are a few of the decorations:

Having a big family has always been a dream of mine. Seeing all these stockings hanging up for us and all of our kids just makes me smile. I love how God is willing to give us the desires of our hearts, even if it's not in the way we would expect :)

I can't wait for this week! Cade has 2 days of school, and then Thanksgiving break starts. My final exam in Chemistry is tomorrow, and then I can relax and just enjoy this week with my family!

Cade's Kindergarten Thanksgiving Performance

Friday, Cade's class had a "Family Feast." The kids did a little performance for the parents, and then we had our "feast," which was turkey lunch meat, popcorn and pumpkin whoopie pies..which were delicious! They were all just so cute, and Cade was SO proud. He stood on stage and just smiled so big the whole time! I'm going to try to post a video here, hopefully it will work!

It was a great day. The kids were so cute and Cade was so excited to have Liam and me there! I can't wait to go to more of his school performances and parties!

Family Time

My parents were able to come visit this weekend. It's always fun when we get to see them. Since moving to Harrison, we haven't been able to see them as often as we used to, so it's always nice to get together with them. The kids LOVE having Nana and Papa there, and I'm sure when my parents go home, they will be ready for a nice, long nap! The kids keep them running, always asking them to play. And, it's hard for a nana and papa to say "no" to "will you please play with me?" Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

Our boys LOVE playing Legos!

I love this crazy kid.

He's kinda crazy, too :)

So proud of his Lego car.

I love this picture of my dad with Tyler and Cade.

My parents are letting all 4 kids sleep with them tonight. They are brave..and hopefully no one wakes up to a wet bed!

Before bed movie time.

I love this picture..wish it wasn't blurry. For some reason, it makes me ready for Christmas.

I have a few more posts I need to get caught up on. Hopefully I can do that this week!
