2012 Recap

Wow, I'm really behind on blogging. I will need to catch up soon! But, since today is New Year's Eve, I figured I should do an obligatory "My Year" post. 2012 was a HUGE year for our family. We went through so many changes. I'll start with January!

In January, Liam turned 3! He also got potty trained a week before his birthday. Also in January, I had the experience of making my very first cake! That started a great hobby for me that I have had a lot of fun with over the year, and I hope to get even better in 2013. Here are a few January pictures:

In February, we got some snow. The boys really enjoyed that!!

March was a great month. I ran the Bentonville Running Festival 5K with my best friend. I went to a Mandisa and Laura Story concert with the Single Mom's group from church. And, we spent lots of time with friends! We are so blessed to have the friends we have. I miss them so much now that I've moved.

In April, my best friend did some family pictures for the boys and me. I'm so thankful for that! At the end of March, I met the man that I would marry a few months later! We became "official" in April.

In May, I took Cade on a "Mommy/Cade" date. We went to the Crystal Bridges museum. We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the beautiful weather! We also went to a Naturals game with friends and spent some time swimming in our best friends pool.

June was a great month! Christian and I ran the Warrior Dash race...what an accomplishment that was! I never thought I would be able to survive a race like that. If you don't know what it is, google it. It was so much fun and it felt great crossing that finish line! We spent a lot of time at the public pool with friends in June, and I attended the baby shower of my best friend from high school and I got to make the cake! Cade turned 5 in June! He is growing up way too fast!

Friends since 7th grade!!

July was an amazing month. I turned 29 and I got the BEST gift...Bryan proposed and I said yes! We celebrated July 4th at Fireworks at the Crosses at our church. We have done this every year for the past 5 years. It's a great place to celebrate July 4th! They do baptisms at the crosses that night, and Natali got baptised! Such a special night. I've been trying to get better with photography, and I got to take family pictures for Christian and the girls. I also took maternity pictures for Hannah (the one who had the baby shower in June). We took the kids to play mini golf. That was the first time I ever took them! They had a blast. We got to visit some family and I was a bridesmaid in my aunts wedding. It was a very busy month!

August was a big month. Bryan and I got married! And the boys and I moved to Harrison. It has been a hard adjustment for me. I miss my friends so much and I do get a little lonely here. But, I am so thankful for the man God sent to me! I am so very blessed to be married to this man! He loves God, he loves me and he loves my boys! Two days after the wedding, Cade started kindergarten! I can't believe how big my big boy is getting!

Our wedding was everything I wanted it to be. It was such a beautiful day and I couldn't have asked for anything more. I am SO thankful!

 In September, Bryan and I went to a marriage conference in Branson called Romance Uncensored. We really enjoyed that weekend away, since we didn't get to take a honeymoon. Isaac celebrated with 3rd birthday with some sweet friends and we got to enjoy a visit from my parents!

October wasn't a busy month. We spent a lot of time playing at the park and just enjoying our family.

In November, we had another great visit from my parents, and, of course, Thanksgiving!

Cade got to help with the Thanksgiving meal at my grandpa's house. He helped making the chicken and dumplings..best dumplings I ever had :)

December is always a busy month! We loved it this year. We were able to host both families at our house for Christmas! I really enjoyed getting to cook Christmas lunch with my mom.

On Christmas night, Bryan and I got another Christmas present that we weren't expecting...a baby is on the way! My first appointment is January 21st, but according to an online calculator, my due date is September 2nd. We are SO very excited! Couldn't have asked for a better Christmas gift.

I had so much fun going through my year! I had an amazing year with WONDERFUL people in my life. I'm so thankful for the people God has placed in my life, to be my friends and to be my family. I am truly blessed and I can't wait to see what 2013 brings. Happy New Year everyone!
